Abiodun Jolaoso was born on the 13th day of October, 1948 at Orile-Ilugun in Odeda Local Government of Ogun State.
His primary education commenced at St. James Anglican Church School, Orile-Ilugun in Ogun State.
His sterling academic perfomance enabled him gain admission to Government College Ibadan in 1964, and brilliantly obtained his West African School Certificate (Grade I) and Higher School Certificate (HSC) in 1968 and 1970 respectively at the prestigious college.
At GCI, he was quartered at Carr House where he was drilled in various academic and extra -curricular activities. For his accommodating spirit, kind-heartedness, respectable mature mind and delectable personality, Carr House Boys nick-named him 'Emperor', a name that is still relevant in GCIOBA household till date.
His quest for academic excellence and professional pursuit propelled him to study further at the Premier University (University of Ibadan) where he bagged his Bachelor's Degree in 1974, after which he immediately proceeded to Orhis University, Paris for his Master's Degree. He returned home to continue his academic sojourn at University of Lagos where he had his Masters of Business Administration, MBA in 1979.
Abiodun Jolaoso's work career started with Elf Nigeria Limited where he meritoriously rose to the office of a Manager, his administrative dexterities, integrity and leadership prowess created him a niche at the Nigerian Institute of Management as its Director / Acting Director-General. Currently, he is the Managing Partner of Fame Management Consultants Limited, and a Fellow of the British Institute of Management.
'Emperor' has given back to his Alma Mater in no measure by serving the Government College Ibadan Old Boys Association, GCIOBA; in various capacities ranging from Financial Secretary, Assistant National Secretary, National Secretary, First Vice-President, and National President (2014 till date).
He is a Merit award reciepient of GCIOBA, Lagos Branch (1987) and the GCIOBA National Association (1992). He is happily married to Gloria Oluwatoyin and they are blessed with a daughter, Dr. Oluwamayowa.
