My first appreciation goes to God Almighty who has not only given us abundant life but sustained us all these years as individuals and families. He has equally made possible the growth and enlargement of our Association, Government College Ibadan Old Boys Association (GCIOBA). To Him alone be all glory, honour and adoration.
I like to acknowledge and appreciate the National Executive Committee of GCIOBA led by Chief Biodun Jolaoso '64set for her unflinching support and encouragement all through the planning period I also like to appreciate in no small measure and thank God specially for the spirit of unity and cooperation that existed amongst the Reunion Committee Members while thanking them for the agape love demonstrated, their commitment, devotion, doggedness and valuable sacrifice these past two years of carrying out the great task of planning GCIOBA Annual Reunion (88th & 89th editions) May the good Lord reward your labour of love abundantly
Many thanks go to all our Old Boys, Corporate Organizations and other Donors as listed in the Brochure who have supported this programme generously with their substance Our humble prayer is that God Almighty will bless you beyond your expectation in Jesus name
I gratefully salute and commend our distinguished old boys in diaspora, Europe and North America who came to celebrate with us at this year’s Annual Reunion, Mother of all events May God be with you all and grant you journey mercy back to your destinations
I wish to once more congratulate the Awardees and their families Also the Old Boys, Young Girls and our numerous Guests who won various valuable items during the Raffle Draw that climaxed the occasion I congratulate the newly elected National Executive Committee Members and wish them happy tenure of office I am indeed very grateful for the encouragement and prayers of my wife, children, classmates - '71set, friends and associates which I believe contributed immensely to the success of the great event
